Hello folks --
Two of the upcoming Freethought Association of West Michigan's meetings look interesting. Would any of y'all be interested in travelling out to G-Rap to enrich your stagnant minds? If there is interest, I could transport up to four other heathens in the newly-washed-and-fixed Pimpmobile. If there is no interest, well then, you might as well start praying to JC, kids.

I'll rope you in, Ben. We'll grab dinner afterwards, or something.
Anyone else willing to think during the summer?

I like to think. I need to know pronto which one people will be attending, so's I can ask for that day off.

Who said it was an "either/or" thing? I hope to attend both.

Mmmmkay. Well, I'll ask for both off and see how that goes. Methinks if they are both denied though, that I will only attend one anyways. Might get suspicious if I do otherwise.

I would love to go to the July 28 one. And, well, I'd love to go to the other one too, but I think I'll be busy that day, so July 28th it is.

OK, it looks like we have a Renee, a Sean, a maybe Ben, and a maybe Laura for this Wednesday. Meeting begins at 7. Drive time is about 1.25 hrs, we'll say 1.5 at least, given rush hour. I'll drive.
Shall we meet at 5pm, my apartment? We can grab dinner after the meeting (maybe at the place with the reflecty-sound-dome-thingy), and then roll home.
Anyone got Ian's number? We could call his G-Rap ass and see if he'll show.

Was I the *only* one blessed with Ian's home number? I suppose I could call him, even though I will be unlikely to attend this Wednesday. We'll see how the ole schedule goes. But, I'll call him tonight or tomorrow, or maybe both, considering I work when most normal people like to chill out at home, or sleep.

Well, for the record, Jess and I would have wanted to go this week, too, but the fact that I work til 6 and that my car is a little wrecked from an accident kinda keep us outta the running.
There isn't anyone who'd be ok with leaving at 6ish and giving us a ride, is there?

"In the case of Rapture, this car will be unoccupied. If Roger's driving, it's occupied, but a danger to society." Sorry to hear that, Rog. I'd offer to wait, but ... I'm a schmuck. I want to get there before the talk to possibly meet the AA president and maybe network with some of the West MI Freethinkers. Sean, I have never been to your apartment. If you could email the address to me that would be, like, totally awesome and stuff.

Hi folks --
Sadly, my back does not like me these days. In fact, I am home for at least the first part of this week while my back recovers. Plus side: the drugs are awesome. However, I am not sure about my ability to attend Wednesday night's meeting in G-Rap. We could either (a) scrub plans to go (which, right now, would just affect Renee, Ben and I) or (b) we could play Wednesday night by ear.
If you guys would just like to come over, chat and play some cards at my place Wednesday night, that's an option too.

Sean - sorry to hear that your back rejected it's host. it looks as if just scrapping it for now would probably the option to go with. I'll still go if your back feels up to it. i could even drive (as long as i don't have to pay for gas, i'm crazy broke right now) if that would help. so yeah if there isn't a post here by 4:30, i'll assume we're not going.
but hey, theres always next time, right?
