www.lsj.com/lifestyles/religion/031130_churches_1a.htmlI like how existing outside of the church leads to "hyperindividualism" and "existing in a moral and spiritual vacuum". I tend to blame evangelicism for a lack of a moral compass, personally. Sean "got all my morals from my peers instead of myths" Davis

God damnit, this shit always pisses me off. It is IMPOSSIBLE for a band to be both christian and rock. It is an anachronism, and oxy-moron. It's just not how these things work. One of the basic tenets of "rock" music is that you USE your life. One of the basic tenets of christianity is that you DON'T use your life. They are mutually, fucking, exclusive. Sticking a feather up your butt does not make you a chicken. Playing a guitar poorly with a lot of noise added in does not make you a rockstar. It's somewhat akin to suggesting that because Marilyn Manson uses a gospel church choir in "I don't like the drugs (But the drugs like me)" that it becomes religious music all of a sudden. It's horse-shit. Bah! There is a very clear and very fundamental philosophy found in all true metal, and this is something which is by nature at odds with x-tianity, that's why the fuggin tools have to come out with these ridiculous poser bands like POD, so they can tap every last market available. They're worse than cocacola for fucks sake. Maybe even nike.
