The Undergraduate Bioethics Society is pleased to announce a two-evening event on the Science and Ethics of Stem Cell Research Tuesday, October 5 7:00 pm 116 Farrell Hall James Trosko, Ph.D. will be speaking on the science of stem cell research. Dr. Trosko researches gap junctions and stem cells at in the department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University. Scot Yoder, Ph.D. will be speaking on the ethical dilemmas presented by stem cell research and use. Dr. Yoder teaches in the philosophy department at MSU, and is interested in pragmatism, business, and health ethics. Wednesday, October 6 7:00 pm 116 Farrell Hall A panel will be held to discuss religious, law, and social perspectives to stem cell ethics and research. Questions from the audience will also be addressed.
The panel participants are: Paul Arshagouni, M.D., J.D. (Director, Health Law Program, MSU College of Law) Justin McCormick, Ph.D. (Associate Dean, MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine) Clayton Thomason, J.D., M. Div. (Faculty, Center for Ethics and Humanities in the Life Sciences)

I would've gone, seeing as how I brought it up, but I am sick and i was out of town then, so....if anyone did go, I'd like to hear about it. Though it looks like no one did.
