warning: this will piss some people off. www.statenews.com/article.phtml?pk=26570yes, an abortion scene and gay men married by demons. "Lansing House of Horrors"? Absolutely, if you think about how the church is portraying itself and the community. Sean "fanatics, indeed" Davis

Yeah, there was some protest being staged, but the organization hasn't emailed me back about it.

I am personally disgusted at this, but then again, I don't share their theological views, so that would explain most of it.
The more important problem here is that it seems (according to the article at any rate) Mount Hope did not include any disclaimers about the contents of the haunted house (Related side note: was there any indication that they were the organization running the house? That's another problem). TV and movies are rated to give people an idea of what to expect, and now they are required to specifically mention what kinds of things earn that PG-13 or R rating (realistic violence, adult situations, etc.) These ratings were created in the first place by no small part due to religiously motivated lobbying groups. There are haunted houses that have an 18+ age restriction, and based on the content of Mount Hope's haunted house, letting in anyone 11 years old and up is disgusting, even moreso because they want to play off people's emotions for their proselytization mission. And that they even allow younger kids (with or without parental supervision is beside the point) is further evidence of how shameful this is.

I heard that Rog and Jess, good little heathens that they are, helped out with the protest against this. Could they debrief us on their participation in this event?
