I got this notice from my American religion prof. I'm thinking of going to check it out. Anyone else interested? Friday April 16th William Romanowski will be giving a l ecture, Eyes Wide Open; Looking for God in Popular Culture, at 7:30 PM in the Red Cedar Room at the MSU Kellogg Center. The lecture is open to the public pending space. Further details and directions can be found on the web site at: www.christianityandculture.org/Sponsored by the Institute for the Study of Christianity and Culture and Graduate Intervarsity Fellowship

Sounds a little biased, no?

I can't swear that I can make it yet, but I'd like to. Maybe we can make a cheap-assed dinner and a lecture out of it?

It's probably fairly biased, but it doesn't hurt anyone to hear opposing views.
Dinner and a lecture sounds good. Maybe eat at the Union or IC at 6ish then head over to the Kellogg Center. Any other takers?

Argh....I'm gonna have to back out of this one. I forgot about previous plans. Well, if anyone goes, have fun, but I can't make it tonight.

I can probably swing this(I wpioldn't be adversed to Kill Bill 2 afterwards either). I'm all for prioritizing though-intellectual discussion of relevant and informative issues, followed by copious amounts of blood spray and wierd siren noises marking flashbacks.

Ok, am I correct in assuming that Susan, Ian, Laura, Heather, Carolyn and I are going to this lecture this Friday? (I believe Ben is busy) If so, then someone should contact the hosts of the talk (see the Romanowski webpage off of the URL at the head of this thread) to notify them of interested attendees ... they seem to want a head count.
Sports fans only: "William Romanowski"? Jeezus, I hope this guy doesn't fly off in a fit of 'roid rage and rip the head off of a heathen or two.

I am fairly confidant that I will be there. The only thing is that I might get busy, and forget. Therefore I shall make note to myself. Count on me showing up, unless I post otherwise.
